ARaymond, a global leader in fastening and assembly systems for more than a century, announced that it is expanding into the field of pneumatic systems for commercial vehicles — offering a full line of connectors, fasteners and tubes to be used as part of key vehicle systems such as braking and suspensions.

The new ARaymond pneumatics line, called AIRYOSA, will be showcased for the first time at the IAA Transportation 2024 gathering starting Sept. 17 and running through Sept. 22 in Hannover, Germany.

ARaymond’s leadership team said the AIRYOSA products expand on the company’s past knowledge and experience and brings it to a new sector.

“The cutting-edge AIRYOSA lineup breaks new ground for ARaymond and we’re excited about the path forward in the pneumatics sector. We are proud to release a new and complete set of products and solutions in the pneumatic market, leveraging our long-standing expertise in fluid handling for commercial vehicles,” said Gerald Vincent, ARaymond Global Commercial Vehicles Market Coordinator. “These products will provide improved safety, ergonomics, and sustainability during the assembly process and the vehicle’s lifetime.”

Vincent said the pneumatics field will be a long-term area of interest for ARaymond.

Key benefits of the AIRYOSA product line for commercial vehicles include:

— Improved ergonomics: AIRYOSA quick connectors (QC) are designed to reduce insertion force by approximately 30 percent. With more than 110 end piece connections and 130 tube insertions to complete per vehicle, that can save installers a lot of effort in total and preserve worker health. This also speeds up the manufacturing process and reduces risk of misassembly.
— Compact and Lightweight: ARaymond’s pneumatics products are designed to deliver a 17 percent reduction (compared to industry standards) in weight and are compact. This will lower overall truck weight and support the sustainability goals of commercial vehicle OEMs.
— Sustainable:
Eco-friendly design made with bio-based materials; more than 50 percent reduction in CO2 emissions during manufacturing process compared to industry standards.
— Easy to service: Wear-resistant features enable easy maintenance even after extended service in harsh environment, and disassembly with standard tools.

— Customization: With all connectors, tubes and fastening solutions coming from one place, ARaymond can be a single-source supplier in the pneumatics field, including the option for customized parts and solutions, which ARaymond can deliver thanks to decades of engineering experience and a history of creating customized auto parts in-house for OEMs.

“We can now provide commercial vehicle customers with a wide range of products for the design and assembly of their pneumatic systems, including connectors, tubes and fasteners. We are excited to start working with our long-term commercial vehicle OEM partners on new pneumatic projects,” Vincent said.

ARaymond will be displaying its new products at the IAA Transportation 2024 event in Hannover. Germany. They will be located in Hall 13, Booth C37. The show is focused on innovations in logistics, commercial vehicles, and the transport sector.
